Elena Isasi Theus, an Aditus student, has received the prestigious Roy and Diana Vagelos Science Challenge Award from the University of Pennsylvania.
Awarded by a committee made up of the heads of the Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biophysics programs at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the heads of the postgraduate Physics and Chemistry courses, only 5 to 7 students per year are granted this exclusive award, from among all those who complete the second and third years of these programs with the highest grades.
Elena has completed her sophomore year in Biological Sciences and, in addition to placing her at the forefront of university education and research, the award comes with $107,000 in tuition and fees for two years.
